Our limits are to protect users from being caught by spam algorithms. Twitter doesn't recommend more than 2 hashtags per tweet
Millions of accounts get suspended each month, the vast vast majority are due to getting caught by automation algorithms. So past performance is not an indication that you will not get caught, we have seen numerous accounts get suspended because of excessive tagging or excessive hashtag usage. The last thing we want is for our users to lose their accounts permanently when they push the boundaries using our tools.
